Magnifiers

Clover 6 HD pocket sized electronic magnifier is versatile and has  2 cameras; one for reading and close viewing tasks and one for viewing tasks a few meters ahead. The device has a stand and handle that gives clear, sharp, 1.5 X to 35 X magnified images. User friendly tactile screen and high contrast buttons. Can use voice to create voice label for saved images.

Compact 10 HD with Speech has a  large high-definition 10” touch screen and Text-to-Speech option. It offers some of the benefits of a desktop video magnifier but in a smaller portable design. This device has three task-specific cameras:  reading camera for reading documents and near tasks; swing-out full-page camera for full-page Text-to-Speech and writing; and an overview camera for seeing objects and text from a short distance.

Eschenbach Mobilix LED handheld magnifier is simple to use, large and easy to operate. It has a choice of 3 different colours/light intensities provided with filters. Easy to change batteries and comes with a protective case for lens. The Eschenbach Mobase is a stand that can be used with the magnifier for tremble-free viewing.

SCHWEIZER ERGO-Lux i mobile hand magnifier is an LED magnifier, which has 2 brightness levels. The key advantage of this new magnifier lies in its wireless charging capability which eliminates the need to replace batteries, which is especially beneficial for someone who struggles replacing batteries. The base for the ERGO-Lux hand held magnifier offers tremble-free viewing and is great for threading needles and reading glucometers etc.

SCHWEIZER Okolux Plus LED Stand is an LED battery operated magnifier. It is used on a flat surface and provides a bright, evenly dispersed, high contrast light which emits a 'daylight' light making it ideal for those times when you need additional lighting to read, amongst other things, newspapers, letters, magazines or text in books. This type of magnifier suits someone who struggles to hold a magnifier.

Eschenbach's system varioPLUS is an LED battery operated magnifier that is ideal for reading over long periods of time and for users who have difficulty holding the magnifier freely. Some of the magnifier heads come with a retractable red reading line for easy line orientation and increased reading speed. The rectangular magnifier lens head is equipped with a supplementary swivel lens for additional magnification. Choice of 3 different colour temperatures via filters.

Daylight's Halo LED magnifier lamp is lightweight and portable. It has 2.25 X magnification lens with a  4 X inset lens. Daylight LEDs provide high contrast and accurate colours and comes with 3 brightness levels.

Talking Devices

OrCam MyEye Pro is an artificial hands free portable vision device with a lightweight smart camera that instantly reads text aloud –from any surface (including printed text, computers and smartphone screens) – and recognises faces, products, and money in real time. This vision device has Smart Reading capabilities which makes navigating pages and searching for specific information easier. The OrCam MyEye Pro can help you to orientate within your surroundings that are between 2 and 9 meters away from you. This device is activated by a series of vocal commands, simple hand gestures and or using the touch bar; ideal for use at work, school and or home or anywhere you need to be mobile.

ClearReader+ combines fast text-to-speech and a choice of high quality naturally sounding voices, all in an attractive portable design. Easy to use controls for play, pause, forward, back, reading speed and voice selection. Spell out loud function. High quality text recognition in 31 languages. Simply switch on, scan your printed reading material and start listening in an instant. The ClearReader+ uses main power or can be operated via its internal rechargeable Li-ion batteries. This device has built-in high stereo sound speakers. Headphones can be plugged in for discreet listening.

OrCam Read Smart is a handheld personal AI-driven reader that reads text aloud from nearly any printed surface or screen. Just line up your document or text and with the press of a button, the OrCam Read Smart will begin to read the information for you. The “Smart Reading” feature uses voice commands to find a word, headline, amount or other specific information. The “Hey OrCam” feature is useful for those who find pressing the trigger button difficult. For those that struggle to align the device with the text, there is a versatile, lightweight portable stand.

Hands Free Magnifiers

Eschenbach's laboCLIP system is attached to the user’s spectacles to provide individual hands free magnification. Lenses of differing magnification levels are easily interchangeable; customer can use different lenses depending on task or changing needs over time. Ideal for both work and craft activities 

Eschenbach's maxTV provides magnification (2.1 X lens) with relaxed viewing at any distance through individual focusing of each lens. Ideal for reading subtitles and all text on the screen. Can be used as a special low vision aid which will double the size of a television screen.

Phones

The BlindShell phone has a tactile keypad, voice dictation and loudspeaker plus many fully accessible apps. The BlindShell is menu-based and uses a minimal number of tactile buttons. The BlindShell phone removes a lot of the complexities of smartphone use.
